I currently work off a 2017 iMac in the office and use a 27" Thunderbolt Display and a 2013 27" iMac (in TDM) with the iMacs both running Monterey for triple monitors. We're currently getting our machines replaced at work and I'll be getting an M1 MacMini to replace the iMac as my primary device.

I'm aware that I will not be able to use TDM on an M1 machine, as sad as that is, so am resigned to using the TB display natively and a combination of AirPlay and Luna Display to use old iMacs as displays. Given the port limitation on the M1 mini in terms of having to use one USB-C port and one HDMI port for dual monitor and from what I've seen online, I'm considering an active HDMI to USB-C converter for the Luna Display adapter and I was just curious if anyone else had success doing something similar?
