Does anyone else find it really annoying (and slightly inappropriate) how many Windows (Vista and Live Search) ads there are on the macrumors site?

There's usually a big square one right on the front page after the lead article and often one on the left when you're reading an article.

Are you not able to filter your ads macrumors?

MadDoc,

The ads are generated by Google based on the tech & computer related content on this site.

Like bartelby said, an ad-free MacRumors is only $25 away.

Don't you find it amusing that Microsoft is helping to support a site that promotes Apple.

Mind you, the amount of people posting about running Windows on the Mac, it's probably the ideal place to advertise their products

Yes, why?

Because "The ads are generated by Google based on the tech & computer related content on this site" does not equal "Microsoft is helping to support a site that promotes Apple"

If people were to stop mentioning Microsoft (oops!) in every post, Google would stop fetching its ads to festoon the front page with.

You obviously didn't see the  on my post.
