Powerbook as a monitor?

I have already posted this in "GAMES" but i dont think it will recieve much credit there! Sorry!

So can I hook up my PS2 to my Powerbook? I have heard of some of Elgatos products but they are quite expensive at the moment!

I was wondering is there a cheaper option?

Short answer without actually trying it: Don't bother. Every video converter has some latency, and my guess is that the time lag would be too much for action games. Card games and strategy games, maybe. Racing, flying and shooters, don't think so.
