The Apple logo on the iPhone is 3/4 from the bottom. The logo in that picture is closer to the middle. A quick GIS comfirms this.

Is that image generally believed to be true? Not that I'm *that* high maintenance, but... that is so ugly and unnecessary. The front is screen, black, and the metal edges. Why would the back be white?

(actually I could care less about the validity of the picture but I have absolutely no reason to believe its fake)

Ok Ok I'll agree with most of you, yes its just an iPod, you can tell by the chrome back reflecting her hand and the fact that the apple logo is smack dab in the middle of the device.

Hey look on the brightside, at least Madonna isn't the first one to get an iPhone, I mean geez...Steve could of at least given it to John Mayer, hes done the keynote perfomance enough times.

1. the reason the reflection is black is because there is a black car directly in front of her.

2. you can see the hold switch on the top right, her left.

3. Steve would NEVER give the first one to Madonna! he's far more likely to give it to Bob Dylan or Al Gore, or some other person he holds in high esteem.

4. As others have stated, there is no camera and the logo is in the wrong place!
