I was looking at elgatos site and I have a hard time distinguishing between their product lines. Does anyone know why not just get the hybrid as opposed to any other model? seems like they all do the same thing

Also, can i hook a 360 up to it?

Sorry I did searching but I could not find a clear answer to these. I am cluesless when it comes to this apparently. Thanks for any and all help

like what is the advantage of the miglia tvmini over the hybrid? ahh!

the miglia has clearQAM (unencrypted cable) and ATSC digital OTA, the hybird has analog/ATSC. tvmini hd doesnt do analog but the big advantage is the QAM. it might be worthless to you depending on your cable company and whether they have any unencryped channels. theres also a newer version called the tv mini hd+ which does analog i believe.

Ooh ooh! This is the first discussion about TV-related hardware + Mac I've seen, in recent memory, that includes conversation about hooking up consoles. So, that is my main concern. I don't care at all about cable/TV, I just want to hook up my consoles to my Mac (because my 21" CRT is a far nicer display than my ancient television). I haven't made an investment in any of the EyeTV products because I've yet to read personal experiences specifically with gaming hardware.

Anyway, so ya. Thanks, dukebound85, for starting this thread. I look forward to reading some recommendations.

go for the hybrid. i have a hauppauge hvr-950 which is the exact same thing and it works great.

eyeTV 2.4 just came out so you can use a cable box or satellite dish

but the hybrid only has an antenna/ satellite box connector or am i missing something?(I most likely am! )
