I'm wanting to gather a bit more information on different ways of animating 2d illustrations. Is there a program that will put together frame by frame things that I've made in illustrator, similar to a cartoon? what programs are out there that can help me with this? I'm thinking kind of the style of the movie a scanner darkly(though not nearly as detailed) but from my own animations, not animated from pre-filmed material.

bump... anyone have any info? In my searches I found software by www.toonboom.com which seems to be kinda what I'm looking for. anyone know of other options or if this software is any good?

I'll give this thread some CPR....

ToonBoom seems wonderful in concept. And the demo videos really show how easy and powerful it is.
So I tried the demo.
Unfortunately, The demo is choc'full of bugs.
It's so buggy it's totally unusable. You can can't do anything.

Now I'm torn. I really want to get it.... But if the demo is the same as the full version. No way.
