What about the people who live in regions which are not one the 2FA availability list? Because of me not living in a country which is on that list, I cannot get the SMS to enable 2FA on my account, making my whole account fundamentally insecure. This is simply pisspoor service from such an enormously profitable company, it's almost as if they just DGAF about a ton of it's actual users. A completely unnecessary security hole.

Here is the list:
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT205075

My argument is that this list shouldn't exist. It's simply unacceptable. This should be available to ALL users all around the world. Why Apple? What's the logic behind this incredibly stupid decision?

Since about January of 2018 it has been possible for people in my country, formerly Netherlands Antilles, to add their phone number and enable 2FA. I have no idea how many total countries are now supported, as the supported list has not been updated as of yet to reflect my country being on there.

At least they listened. This means that if you are not on the list, just f'n complain in every direction.
