For all those new 3G iphone owners worried about battery life, it seems my upgraded 2G phone now only lasts about 2/3 of a day also.

I have about 4 screens worth of apps, and with a little phone, a little maps, 2 games of scrabble, and some other stuff the battery is only 20% by 3pm.

I don't know if the 3G portion of your phone is costing you that much battery. I was going to wait to upgrade to see if the battery issues sorted themselves out but I'm beginning to think that keeping the 2G for battery life is a pointless reason.

Wow, really? I just posted in another thread about my battery life with the 3G - I'm finding it to be roughly equivalent to the 2G, but I'm getting way more use out of it than you are. Either phone (and 2G has the 2.0 update as well).

Not sure what the difference could be, though. I have location services, wifi, and 3G all on.
