2g IPhone Update Question

I suck at this hacking stuff! I have a simple question about updating My 2g IPhone.
I am using OS 2.X on T-Mobile with ZERO problems. I unlocked my phone via pwnage.
If I update to OS 3.0 via I-Tunes will my phone re-lock or will I be good to go?

I also have a 2G on T-Mobile.

Just download the new Pwnage Tool, build a new 3.0 firmware (so you have Cydia etc) and then use iTunes to update your iPhone with custom firmware.

Hold down shift or alt when pressing restore in iTunes and select the custom firmware that Pwnage Tool built for you.
