I just got my first ipod. I went with the 2G 16G refurbished from apple. Last night I connected everything and downloaded a couple of free apps into itunes on my pc. I attempted to drag and drop the apps to my ipod, but it would not let the app drop. I was only able to get the apps on my ipod after checking the sync box under the applications tab. Shouldn't I be able to drag and drop apps or is that not the case?

Thank you for your responses.

To download apps directly to your touch, first you need a wifi connection. Once your touch is connected, look for the app store icon on your touch -- it's a blue icon with what looks like a stylized capital "A" in the middle. Tap it to start the app store app, and it's pretty much self-explanatory from there.
