2g to 3Gs, restore from backup, backup opions

So, just bought a used, jailbroken 3Gs (new bootroom, 3.1.3, will unlock) and would like to restore from backup from my old jailbroken, unlocked 2g (3.1.2) - is this possible? I don't want to upgrade to iOS4 since I wouldn't be able to unlock.

If not, any suggestions on how to transfer my 2g data to the 3Gs?
