iPod touch 2g touch screen issue

I just replaced the battery and digitizer on my 8gb 2nd gen ipod touch. All went well except the screen is now all washed out. Have I damaged the screen while making the repairs? The unit works fine only issue is the screen is almost all white. Thanks in advance, Keith

Good for you! The Touch can be repaired. Have you tried turning down the brightness settings. You can do this in the General Settings.
