2nd app switcher..split screen..any logic?

Im trying to figure out if there is any logic behind the order of the apps available in multi app view?

They are not alphabetized, nor are they categorized?

Im sure apple will make the icons smaller so we dont have to keep scrolling forever, but for now does anyone know if there is any logic to the way the apps are available..would sure help..now for instance chrome and safari are separated by 20 other icons ..a bit frustrating that this was an afterthought on Apple's part

I believe it's the order in which those apps have been used, most recently used starting at the bottom.

This is what I've experienced as well. The last side viewed app will be on the bottom of the list and when you flick down to get the list, it'll be the first app shown.
