2nd Display for new imac

Looking to get a secondary display for my soon arriving in the mail imac 24"
I've read a lot of threads on the forums about samsung and dell displays.

Question:
1. I will be getting a mini-dvi to DVI adapter for the imac. Is that adapter DVD-I or DVI-D? Considering the Samsung 226BW.

The adapter is DVI-D. It'll work just fine with the monitor.
