Hoping someone here can help me with this:
I have my 2012 iMac connected to my HDTV through a miniDP -> HDMI adapter and an HDMI cable. When I plug this in to the back of the iMac, the screen flashes blue and then detects my HDTV like it should, no problem. But if I turn off my TV and turn it back on again, the 2nd display is no longer detected and I have to manually unplug the miniDP adapter from the back of the iMac and then plug it in again, and then it works.
This is the exact same setup I had with my old 2010 iMac and I never had a problem - every time the TV was turned on, the iMac would automatically detect it. I don't know why it would be different on the 2012 model. Help, please?
