2nd Gen Airpod System Requirements Confusion

I'm looking to buy 2nd gen Airpods for an early 2015 Macbook Pro, but am confused about what operating system this laptop must have. All Apple's website says is: "Mac models with the latest version of mac OS". How am I supposed to know if these 2nd gen Airpods will work with the El Capitan OS that's on this early 2015 Macbook Pro ??

You need Catalina 10.15.1 or later. I can confirm that they are compatible with Early 2015 MacBook Pros (13", in my case).

I have 2nd gen Airpods and they work fine on my Macbook pro 2011 13" on High Sierra.
