iPod touch 2nd Gen FW3.0 Upgrade?

I have a 2nd gen with jailbreak with firmware version 3.0. When I run iTunes, it shows version 3.1.3 is available. Given my jailbreak version, is it safe to run the update? Just wondering if anyone else has encountered any problems. Thank you.
 
I think if you download the 3.1.3 firmware then you have too re-jailbreak it in order for it to be jailbreaked on that firmware, but im not completely sure. :)
