Hey guys, I know that the 2nd gen ipod touch hasn't been jailbroken yet, however, hopefully will.
What I want to know is that:
- When it is jailbroken, will it utilize its greater power
- Will let you use the bluetooth inside it?
- Will you be able to transmit your music via the fm transmitter (although I have heard Apple might be releasing this in a future FW update)

I believe if it is jailbroken, it would have all the jailbreak features the first one has. Not sure if there's a bluetooth...

the jailbreak adds read/write access to the iPod system so it unlocks it to do anything possible really.

we cant really comment on the bluetooth side of things as the bluetooth chip iis different to that found in the iPhone

Jailbreak

Few things I've considered possible for a new JailBreak application.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but.

-Utilization of the internal BlueTooth
-Utilization of the internal FM Transmitter/Reciever
-Fix for the 'Charging is not supported with this accessory' (pictured below) error message.
-Fix for the yellow tint.

The "Charging is not supported with this accessory" issue is not a software problem.
It is due to a slight change in the dock connector, some companies just didn't acknowledge it or your accessory was produced before the 2G iPod touch was released.
And what yellow tint?

Numeric wifi

When I restored from a backup of my jailbroken 1st Gen, I got to keep my numeric wifi, numeric battery, and custom carrier.

I'd reccommend it.

need to install either extended prefs or supreme prefs and there will be an option somewhere

Wait, you have a 1G, because you postedcin this thread I thought you had a 2G.
And since I thought the "Charging is not supported with this accessory" message only appeared on the 2G.

I HAD a jailbroken 1G, with custom carrier and numeric wifi/battery.

I now have a 2G, that when I restored from a backup, I got to keep said custom carrier/numeric battery and wifi.
