If that's $1500 (US) then that's a horrible price.

Just get a 2.4Ghz Macbook.

Sure, it won't be a 15/17" Screen, but you know, it'll be brand new, and stuff.

I need MBP for web development and graphic design, so I need a mb-PRO :apple: otherwise I would go for your idea :)

Im 90% Sure that a 2.4 Unibody Macbook will do the same job as that macbook pro, sure it has the 17" screen but everything else it got is worse than the 2.4 uMB.

I say, but 2.4 uMB and external screen instead.

unless you're doing 3d, you don't need a MBP. A MB will handle those tasks easily.

I actually have never considered any Macbook, I was always thinking about Macbook Pro. I also hate of being closed in a room for work, so often I go to Starbucks, Nero or such places to work. that's why I want 17'' actually. even if I pay money for external big monitor, I know I will not use it unless I take it to Starbucks :D

wish I wasn't after 17'', than your MB advice sounds very sensible actually... especially when I think about my financial difficulties...
