2nd monitor for 27"

Looking for a 2nd monitor I'd like to hook up to my 27" iMac when I get it (Jan 2-8 ship date). I've got these 2 in mind:

1. Dell UltraSharp U2412M. I'd probably use this in portrait mode next to the iMac.
2. Viewsonic VX2453MH-LED. I would definitely take the stand off and use the backstand option (I'd think it'd look nice next to the iMac).

Any other suggestions?

Apple thunderbolt display is what i have, actually prob going to add another soon, myself.

U2711 from Dell should have the same screen size and resolution.

I have a HP Z 30" 2560x1600. Do you think I can drive that ok with a TB drive and then a display port plug out of the TB drive enclosure to the monitor? Is the 6890 vid card beefy enough to drive both monitors without lag?
