I am currently running Avid Xpress Pro on an Imac G5. I'm wondering if it is possible to hook up a second monitor to the Imac. This will not be used for mirror images, but to put the windows with my editing bins and project in.

I have an iMac and you can only do this with a VGA monitor.

Also from what I've been told who can only mirror your current display. :(

You can use a second monitor in non-mirrored mode only with Screen Spanning Doctor. There are rumors that this can fry the motherboard, though I'm not sure why and people have posted that they have used the program with success. Still debating about whether I'll do this with my own iMac G5.

Thanks

Wow. Seems a little scary if it actually can fry your motherboard. If you decide to do it let me know if you have any success. I think I might be too scared to take that risk.
