I’m thinking of getting a 13” MBP quad core with 2TB SSD.

Are there any benefits or drawbacks to getting 2TB besides the obvious? (More space)

Is the 2TB SSD at all faster than the 1TB?

Does it reduce battery life at all or produce more heat compared to 1TB?

I haven't seen benchmarks but generally the larger capacity SSDs are faster than the smaller capacity SSDs

The price is outrageous, but if you have to have super fast access to that that data with you all the time then maybe it's worthwhile. I'd rather just carry data I need, I don't need to carry 65,000 photos, 900 movies, and 120,000 songs with me at all times.

I find it has plenty of speed, I got mine mainly for the obvious....space. I’ve been loading a LOT of video footage for Final Cut Pro X and everything loads up fine.

Good news today by the way, SSD upgrade prices decreased.
