I'm hoping someone can help me (my brother).

This is my brother's setup and I'm very new to Mac.
His modem died and the internet provider (ATT Fast Access in Miami) replaced his modem with a modem with a built in router (2Wire 2701HG-B).
After this he says he keeps getting an IP Conflict message.

My assumption is that both routers are trying to assign an ip to his iMac (connected wirelessly by the way) since there are now two routers.

What's the proper way to shut off the 2Wire from being a router and just be a modem and let the Apple Extreme to all the routing job?

Thanks

The 2701HG-B needs to be put into Bridge Mode so that it acts as a modem only and lets the Airport Extreme do the routing. Check out this message in particular and this thread in general over at Broadband - DSLReports.com.
