So I do mostly HD editing, but will do a fair amount of After Effects and Motion work. Which would be better in terms of speed for running 2 24" monitors? Price is a pretty big deal and two 120's are about 40 bucks cheaper which doesn't sound like much but even that is a lot for a poor college kid like me :)
I am especially looking at the future with Open CL and stuff, so hit me what do you guys think?

Thanks
Rafalski

Go with the single 4870 and buy the mini DisplayPort to DVI cable from monoprice to save yourself $15 over Apple's price. You also have the route of flashing a PC 4870 which is cheaper and you would have that and the GT120, there are threads on here covering it.

I agree with this. :) It also happens to save a slot. :D

But there's even the possiblility of using an injector if the OP doesn't want to flash a PC version with EFI firmware, and it opens up the options to other cards (either untested with the flash or didn't work very well). ;)
