So got my new MBP 2018 Core i9.
Set it up, install a couple of things, install update, restart it, won't accept my password. Very strange. Figure, however unlikely, I must have had the entered it in incorrectly when creating my account.... so reset it with iCloud successfully.
Couple of days later, I have only done some light use with it..., but then chrome freezes loading any site, try safari same thing... Restart computer....
Password to unlock no longer works. Try in recovery mode, "The supplied password failed to unlock the disk".
Now I'm 100% sure that my password is correct and something really odd is going on here. Never seen this happen before.
Has anyone had any similar issues or any ideas? At this point I'm thinking of returning the computer.

"An update is required to use this startup disk"
Strange, as I had installed all of the recent updates already. It starts an install then just turns off.
I turn it back on again, and still no luck with the Filevault password :-(
Tried again and this time back in after resetting the password (and it asking me a couple of times to "update" to use the startup disk...). Very strange.
