3.0.1 update problem

I just updated my 3gs to 3.0.1. While it was installing, itunes told me there was an unknown error. my phone is showing the apple and a blank status bar below it. itunes will not show my phone as being connected...what did i do wrong????

Just put the device into DFU Mode, or Recovery Mode, and do a restore in iTunes.

Of course it did. DFU restore fixes most problems. The common cure for a "bricked" iPhone
