Check it out; Settings>Safari>AutoFill>Names & Passwords

It's fantastic. I logged in on macrumors and a little message pops up asking if it should save my login information! I love it! Sorry if this is a repost, but I am excited!
 
Do you know if it syncs with Safari keychain? Seems like something that would be possible.
 
This will be especially helpful with the Wi-Fi at my university. As it is now, I have to manually enter my log-in name and password every time I want to use Safari via the network.
 
I've had Safari allow me to log into several websites by "saving" my login information for a long time now. If it isn't saving the login information then I don't know what it was doing, but I didn't need to enter it each time I visited the website.

That's what mean. The only time I have re-enter any logins, is if I clear the cookies in Safari. So something is getting saved in 2.2, regardless of reboots(hard or soft), and clearing of both the cache and history.

Look at my earlier post and check out how cookies work on wiki, it saves the session really handy but not the same as locally storing your information on your device.
