iPod touch 3.0 help

Okay so I downloaded a GM 3.0 for my first gen Ipod touch..

is this what the file looks like?..

BEFORE..

AFTER..

then when I open it..

So what do i click on to restore my ipod. I go to itunes, ctrl + click on restore, and then what

2. You did it wrong. Remove the ".zip" and confirm. It should look like a lego.

bit of an issue..

I go to itunes, click on my ipod, then hold down shift and click restore but it wont let me choose a file to restore!

i figured it out. I had to press alt/option and clik

Its not like i wasnt trying to do anything different lol

I read online you click shift but oh well now i know! thanks
