Does anyone know of any instant messenger programs out there that are working with 3.0's Push Notification Service. I have the beta downloaded and installed but the Push service is not working... Anybody get this to work???

seeing as push enabled apps won't be actually available until the 3.0 software is actually released, the answer is "no." There aren't any instant messaging apps out currently that will offer push notifications. You've still got about 2 months to wait.

It doesn't just magically start working. AOL, et al would have to update their application and set up push notification servers that actually send the push notifications to your phone before you'd be able to get them.

Your IM apps won't push to you unless you're beta testing 3.0 versions of the IM apps from the developers. Most, if not all, of the IM developers have a 3.0 push-capable version working. You just won't get it until 3.0 apps are allowed in the app store.

What you could do is email a dev that has an aim app (beejive-very helpful aim, etc.) and ask them if they'd be interested in you beta testing their IM app on 3.0. It's a long shot but worth a chance =]
