About to take the plunge and update the OS... are things any slower with 3.0? Stable?

I am hoping for better pop3 performance ("one of the recipients was invalid..." message is driving me nuts)

Just making sure I won't be affecting performance by running the new OS.

Most runs just as fast, except for new features like Spotlight and landscape keyboards in apps that didn't previously have it. Those run pretty slow.
