3.0 question

This is a question regarding 3.0 usability on the original iphone "EDGE/2G". Has Apple even confirmed it's coming for the few of us that have these older models? Have any of you developers installed 3.0 on the Edge model? If so are all the features available and fully usable? When ATT fully enables it, I can't wait to easily send and receive MMS messages.

I thought that MMS wasn't going to included on the 2G with the 3.0 update.

It installs just fine on the original iPhone. No MMS or Tethering will be available though
