So I have tethering active. I downloaded the carrier update through iTunes, legitimately, a few minutes ago.

I have everything setup correctly both through bluetooth and through the usb cable. My iPhone screen shows that tethering is on (pulsating blue bar at the top) but my safari browser keeps trying to load webpages to no avail.

Anyone experiencing the same issue?

I am on Fido.

Hey

It worked for me last night but I will try again in a few minutes.

Anyway, try reseting Safari.

Safari > Reset Safari > Reset

I'll get back to you wether or not it works on my iPhone.

You're on a 3G right?

Okay, it worked for me through Bluetooth and USB.

Try to troubleshoot:

USB:

1. Open iTunes
2. Plug in your iPhone
3. Make sure iTunes recognizes it
4. Make sure you're on a 3G
5. Turn on Tethering
6. Wait for the blue bar at the top
7. Turn off Airport to see if it works
8. Open Safari
9. Try to Load http://google.com
10. It works? Great!

Bluetooth:

1. Turn on Bluetooth on your Mac
2. Turn on Bluetooth on your iPhone
3. Turn on Tethering and tap 'Bluetooth' when the connect box appears
4. Open bluetooth and look for 'Localhost'
5. Connect to it
6. The blue bar should appear on your iPhone
7. Turn off Airport to see if it works
8. Open Safari
9. Try to Load http://google.com
10. It works? Great!

Hope it works!

bphillips, thanks for the advice. But nothing works. My iPhone tells me tethering is active (blue bar) and all the dots are green on my Mac showing me that there are no issues. But no pages load. Weird.
