3.0, will it have group texting?!?!

Will 3.0 have the feature to select a group, as a whole, to send an SMS or email to?

Instead of selecting each individual member to the SMS address field.

Really need this, but haven't seen anything on the Apple site as yet. Surely Apple must have thought of this.

So, select the group, the group loads into the SMS field and then if i want to delete a few from the group say 3 out of the 40 or so, I can do that, simple.

With 3.0, when you send a group text (like you can right now with 2.2.1), instead of their replies being a separate text box, they come back to the same text box. I think. There was a video on this. All I remember is that it is better than what we have right now.

In 2.2.1 you could group SMS, ie yo could send the same text to more than one person at the same time, Except now on 3.0GM it sends them as an MMS which uses up 4 of my texts... has anyone noticed that?

Turning MMS off solves this. It's a temporary solution; once ATT activates MMS, I'm sure this will be fixed.

i don't think jk000 meant sending the same sms to several people, s/he meant is it possible to select a contact group and send them all an sms

this is not possible, however, you can view all people in a group and add them all, not sure if this was possible before
