Is it possible to go to new OS with iphone 3GS on 3.1.3?
I think instead of waiting for the jailbreak for 3.1.3 i will upgrade to 4.0(at which time they will hopefully release jb for 3.1.3), then wait till the other exploit they have found and use it in 4.0(assuming apple doesnt find it)

Don't listen to this advice :rolleyes: there isn't even a Jailbreak out for 3.1.3 yet/ Until 4.0 is out of bata the hackers wouldn't touch it. there won't be a Jailbreak probably till the end of summer maybe early fall. Nobody can say 100% there will be a jailbreak for 4.0 but I would say unless your saved in Cydia you might have to wait longer. Also I would not upgrade till the Dev-team says it's ok!

zafar9999 please don't give bad advice just to give it! :rolleyes:
 
I researched and it says that only certain newer devices can update to it and get all of its features(ie multitasking). (is thats what your asking applejuiced)

so the plan is now, jb 3/1/3 when it comes out, then 4.0 when dev etam says its good. thank you!
 
Oh ya i thought the same, I was just saying in general...
Like when 4.0 comes out I was going to update to 4.0 instead of using the hack for 3.1.3 that will hopefully be released on a similar time table
I would never use apples beta, just sounds... bad to me. I would never know how to downgrade from something like 4.0 beta so even with the opportunity I most likely wouldnt
 
Yup! hopefully we can get 3.1.3 and eventually(hopefully soon after)4.0 hacked for non-new iphone people asap!
 
Labman, I think your seriously stretching it. We have at least 2 or 3 exploits. The betas give some kind of idea to the Devs.

you might be right Musclenerd is talking about a jb in a few days no other news though. but they are also getting very annoyed with people bugging them. hopefully there will be soon! I feel bad for the people that bought phones with 3.1.3 but people that upgrade as soon as new firmware comes out I don't! they need to listen to this before they upgrade!

I dont have a twitter and dont want one but id liek to stay updated on JB news withought having to look througha ton of topics :/
 
What i dont get is where he got his info about MuscleNerd putting out JB in a couple days?

Yep thats the one.:D:D I would just wait for the new OS. Since the Ipad doesn't have to be jailbroken its more of a luxury than a necessity.
