Okay so there is so much information out there pointing in so many directions, I'd thought I'd ask some questions for myself:

I have an iPhone 3Gs that unfortunately was recently updated to 3.1.3:mad:

I have seen multiple guides as to how to revert to 3.1.2 but in attempting to do so, while it tries to verify the action with itunes I recieve the error:

"The iPhone could not be restored. This device isn't eligible for the requested build

Is this an issue stemming from the "shsh" file or another?

At this point I am pretty lost, I just want a clear answer if that, at this time I am not allowed to jailbreak, period.

Thanks for any information
