I know it's possible to unlock a 3G running 3.1.3 only if your baseband has not been updated to 05.11.07 or the newer baseband. How do I tell what baseband I'm running, been a few months since I JB and I don't remember. Is it listed under the network settings on my phone?

Disregard.. I assume the Modem Firmware is my baseband? I'm running 05.12.01, I assume this can be unlocked as it's before 05.11.07? Anyone have a suggestion on the best software to use on a Mac?

Yes, Modem Firmware is the same as baseband, but unfortunately, 05.12.01 is *newer* than 05.11.07 and you cannot currently unlock it.
