3.1 - Blurry saved email attachments?

I'm having a problem when I save an image attached to an email - it appears as blurry in Photos. This certainly was not always the case and I've only noticed it since I upgraded to 3.1. Anyone else noticing this and is there a solution?

Could it be relatively low resolution? I had that issue last night when I downloaded a photo of a contact off Twitter for the Contacts vcard, but then realized that Twitter was initially displaying only the low-res version. Fetched the high res version and all was well when viewing it in Contacts.app or Photo.app.

Doesn't seem to be - saved images from the same source a couple of weeks ago pre 3.1 and they're fine. Hmmmmm.......

I remember that this is an old bug from 2.something.something, which Apple fixed some time ago. I guess they recreated it in the new OS, maybe they're trying to make us feel nostalgic for the good old days of the iPhone classic.

It's something to do with the resolution and size of the images, here's a search on old threads for info about it:

I have the same problem. I've got no clue why it's like that.
