3.1 Text Sending Bug and Workaround.

In 3.1

If you go to Address Book, Find someone, then click the Send Text button at the bottom, It brings up the Text Message app, but doesn't fill the numbers in right, and causes the text message to fail sending.

This happens on both 3G and 3GS using latest 3.1 beta.

A quick work around if you send using this method:

Settings -> General -> International -> Region Format
Change to New Zealand

All that does is that the brackets and dashes out of the phone number format, and then everything works.

Ex: (xxx) xxx-xxxx turns to xxxxxxxxxx

The bug seems to get confused with the extra stuff.
Go figure.

Works ok with my 3GS. After tapping the text button you get the choice of numbers for the contact. Choosing the mobile number takes you to the text app - complete with address filled in.
