3-4 GB used out of 8 after boot up

My mac is taking about 3 minutes to boot up, and about 1 minute to shutdown. Can anyone help me out?

CPU is 94% idle, and it seems like it mainly affecting my memory.

I have attached a copy of an excel spreadsheet to show what is going on.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

First, download SMART Utility https://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/24875/smart-utility to make sure there isn't a problem with your hard drive.

Next, I would try a safe boot (hold shift when your turn on the computer) then restart. Maybe that will clear some caches that could be causing an issue.
