It’s been a long time since I’ve needed a screen replacement, but years ago I was able to get it back same day, or the very least a couple of days.

Today in a London Apple Store they said it would be three to four weeks. They mentioned I could buy another and return it (in the meantime), but then there’s the risk any cosmetic damage preventing me doing so. I know in Australia the return period includes free insurance, which would be great here.

It’s very near the end of warranty so there wasn’t much choice.

I wonder if anyone’s seen this same kind of delay, and whether a well-targeted complaint could make a difference?
