I have just replaced my old MacBook Pro with a 2018 13”model, using Time Capsule to successfully transfer all my data.

I have 3 films which I bought long ago and downloaded from iTunes, these I have always watched on my TV using Apple TV.

Since installing my new MacBook all three films play on my MacBook, but only one of them will play on my TV via Apple TV.

All 3 Films appear in Apple TV’s Library and one of them opens and plays when I select it. The other two attempt to access iTunes store and then advise me " item is not available in the UK store” , which is strange because as I said I bought them and watch them on my MacBook with no problem.

I am not very computer savvy, so I hope I have explained my problem clearly. Any advice re. how to get my films playing on my TV would be much appreciated.

Hi BoxerBoy. I'm confused as to why the TimeMachine back up and your new MacBook Pro would effect your Apple TV as watching iTunes purchases on the Apple TV comes directly from the iCloud.

Have you checked that your new MacBook Pro is authorised in iTunes? Have you checked that you are signed in.

Have you signed out of your Apple TV and restarted it?

Have you tried to redownload the iTunes films on your MacBook Pro from the iCloud?

PS Nice MacBook!
