I am a private contractor and need to replace my aging work PC desktop and laptop in the next 12 months. I'd like to do that with one, new 13" MBP whenever they are released. (This would also replace my 2011 11" MBA that I use for personal use, so a 3-for-1!).

Currently, I have a Dell XPS desktop PC running three 24" Asus monitors. Is there a simple/cheap way I can hook up all three monitors to a hub, and then only have one cable to connect when I put my MBP on my desk?

Has anyone actually tried these DP MST hubs on multiple monitors? I'm looking for a multiple monitor solution for my Early 2011 MBP. Right now I have a DP to HDMI adapter driving a 22" external monitor with the MBP propped up on a stand. Too many cables and not optimal for my taste.

Most of the MST hubs says they support Windows. Not much mention of Macs.

MST isn't supported by OS X, unfortunately. Only thunderbolt daisy chaining.
