3 iPads one iTunes account

We just put 3 iPads 2 on layway for our boys,can they use the same iTunes account and share the same apps music movies? Or would they have to have there own account.

You will be fine. I have 5 iPads and 4 iPhones on one account. iTunes handles it fine. Just make sure they are uniquely named so you can tell which one is which in the Device section.

You probably want to create a seperate icloud account for each one, to allow each one to have their own unique calendar, contacts, messages etc. Just use the same itunes account in the store to allow them to share apps and media.
