This seems is a strange problem, I cannot find anything like this on previous threads

I have a personal iPhone 5s (iPhone A)

I also have a company iPhone 4s (iPhone B)

iPhones A and B are linked to the same iCloud account. When I set this up, saving a contact on either phone would mean it gets saved on the other automatically.

My work colleague has an iPhone 5s (iPhone C)
One day, the SIM card from iPhone C was inserted into iPhone B for a few hours.

Ever since this happened, we have experienced the following problems.

•Contacts saved on iPhone B appear on iPhone A initially, but disappear from both a few hours after being saved. However, contacts saved on iPhone A successfully remain in the contacts list and are automatically transferred to iPhone B. Old contacts (those saved before the start of the issues) are working as they should i.e. syncing via iCloud.

•Contacts saved on iPhone B do not appear on iPhone C. Contacts saved on iPhone C do not appear on iPhone B. B & C have no apparent link

•Contacts saved on iPhone C automatically appear on iPhone A. Contacts saved on iPhone A do not appear on iPhone C. Deleting a contact on iPhone A is mirrored on iPhone C, and deleting a contact on iPhone C is mirrored on iPhone A.

I have tried logging out, then back in, to iCloud and resetting all iPhones. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Can you elaborate on what you mean by resetting? Did you just erase all the iCloud data and reenter on all devices?

A settings reset via Settings.app>General>Reset?
