I hope to be purchasing a MBP in the next week, and I'm a fairly heavy user of both FileMaker and Dreamweaver. I'm wondering if anyone has any benchmarks or personal experience with these two applications under Rosetta, and how the speed compares to G4 PB's?

Also, this info is probably located elsewhere (but I can't find it), under Boot Camp, are you able to access documents across the two platforms? Or more specifically, can OS X see (and open) documents created in the Windows partition?

I'm not sure on the specifics of boot camp, but here's what i do know for sure:

• MacOS X can read NTFS and FAT32 partitions
• It can also write to FAT32 partitions, but not NTFS (apparently)
• Windows cannot read or write any Apple partitions

To access MacOS files from Windows, use something like MediaFour's MacDrive 6.

FileMaker: I'm surprised this isn't a UB yet, because they're owned by Apple (if I remember correctly)... but these websites should give you some insight

and keep an eye on this list...

As to Dreamweaver, it apparently runs pretty much fine in terms of speed.
