3 questions about upgrading to a new macbook pro

i have to upgrade my almost 4 years old macbook dual core 2.0 ghz with 3 gbs ram and 7200 hard drive wich i still use with no complaint .

do you think going from 13" to 15" inch is kinda painfull with the size difference? ( i feel like a new a bigger screen but i am scare of the size and weight)

can i upgrade my system with a ssd hard drive but still be able to keep the hard drive that comes into the computer for storage ? ( on 13" and 15" ?)

would it void the warranty to install a new hard drive? if so where should i get it switch .
