Help a guy out with my first watch...Series 2....Havent been able to find solutions for myself...

1) Will the Watch auto-lock at all, after a period of time? Or does that only work when the Watch is removed?

2) Is there a setting that allows you to view activity rings when the Watch is locked?

3) Any way to set notifications to specific contacts other than Do-Not-Disturb?

Thanks

1) There is an option for that, but when the watch is locked you don't get notifications, track fitness, or can use Apple Pay because the watch isn't authenticated. The idea is that if you unlock it, and your heart beat is active, your watch is authenticated until you remove it. That's why you can preview messages, pay with your credit card without fingerprint, etc.

2) No, that's health data that only displays when authenticated

3) I don't know, would be interesting to see if anyone does.

Where are those settings? Thanks!
[doublepost=1474512777][/doublepost]Never mind. I should have googled first.

Follow these steps:
  1. Open the Apple Watch app.
  2. Tap My Watch > Notifications.
  3. Tap Mail.
  4. Choose Custom.
  5. Scroll down to the Alerts settings.
  6. Tap iCloud and set Show Alerts from iCloud to Off. ...
  7. Tap VIPs and ensure Show Alerts from VIPs is set to On.
  8. Set Sound and Haptics to On (or Off) as preferred.

Ok Ive got the email taken care of, thanks....Now, Im getting notification on the watch from apps that are turned off. Like Breaking and ESPN. They still hit the watch despite being turned off here....
