I used to use Toast, but switched to Burn which is less bloated and simpler to use. Burn is missing a feature which I liked on Toast, which is compressing a DL dvd down to single layer, does anyone know if it can do this, I can't figure out how?
Also, I have an AVI movie and an srt file which I would like to burn to DVD for a friend. I tried transcoding in VLC and selected the "attach subtitle" box, but the resulting MPG didn't have the subtitle file.
I like to rip and archive my DVD's to iso format for easy playback with VLC. I used to use Mactheripper and then import into Toast to output an iso file, but now since I'm on Lion, I use Ripit and then import into Burn. Is there a good all in one program that will rip to iso, and also allow me to burn the AVI/srt to a DVD?
