3 TB Fusion or 256 GB Flash+External HDD Mybook 4TB

Hello, I'm currently planning to buy a iMac with Retina 5K display soon. Which one should I buy with 256 GB flash or with 3 TB fusion drive. I know flash is faster but is small, This why I am thinking about a WD My Book 4TB External Is there a big difference between Fusion drive and flash drive? Please guys suggest me which option is best for me.

Depends! If you have large video & music collections then go with the Fuson Drive.

However if you have an external or NAS and keep your media libraries on them then go with the pure SSD.

I have an internal SSD (+3TB hard disk) and an external hard disk rack (9TB) for my media libraries.

My next iMac will only have a larger SSD and no fusion drive for sure.

I need 1 TB space for Dropbox.

I would save money over time and go with a DS414Play because with it's many Apps you could use that with DropBox.
