Has anyone gotten the code in the upper right of the MacRumors Main page to work? I am trying to place an order and the site says that the code is invalid.

Hickman

Edit: Just realized that it may not be valid through the education store. Is this true?

i don't think it was. and i don't think you can couple discounts anyway.

That's dissapointing that you can't use it in the education store, although not surprising. I was hoping for and iPod and iSight for about $360. That would have been nice.

Claim Code DOES work (depends on which one you're using)

The Promotional Code for V-day does work and CAN be used to "double" up with the already existing ED Store discounts.

That's a sweet deal -- 20gb iPod for $339.

However, you needed to have received a specific email for it. The MacRumors one is probably a generic, circulated code that doesn't apply in all cases.

So the one in the top right corner of MacRumors.com doesn't stack with the EDU discount but some random one that you might get personally does. We're talking about the one posted on Macrumors.com. So in short, no it doesn't work.
